How the data is used
- Working in partnership with the voluntary recording community
- Monitoring of species and habitats in a particular area by nature conservation organisations and local Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) processes
- Monitoring and setting of regional and local targets for biodiversity and environmental indicators
- Informing development control planning and strategic planning to ensure that biodiversity and the law are taken into account
- Informing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Informing site management
- Informing research and education
