Big Watch Weekend Events
Join ERIC North East and ORCA for a landmark cetacean data collection exercise along the North Sea coast in July 2013!
Collaborating with local marine conservation charities; Sea Watch Foundation, MARINELife and the North Sea Wildlife Trusts, we will be recruiting and training a network of survey volunteers to work together recording sightings of whales, dolphins and porpoises over a ‘Big Watch Weekend’.
Explore the map below to find out where you can join in...
KEY: Blue = public watch; Pink = boat trip/other activities; Yellow = private watch

If you want to attend a watch event, it would be useful for you to come along to ORCA's Big North East Whale Watch Guide evening lecture at the Great North Museum: Hancock, Tuesday 23rd July, 7pm - 8pm
Please note that if the weather conditions are particularly bad, public watches will not be going ahead. Contact Katherine on 0191 222 5158 to check.
